A key diplomatic engagement in New Delhi
India and the European Union held the 9th High-Level Dialogue on Migration and Mobility (HLDMM) on 12 November 2025.
The meeting was co-chaired by:
🔹 Shri Prashant Pise, Additional Secretary (Emigration, Policy & Welfare), MEA
🔹 H.E. Johannes Luchner, Deputy Director-General, DG Migration & Home Affairs, European Commission
Senior representatives from EU Member States’ Missions, ICWA, and multiple Indian ministries including Home Affairs, Health, Skill Development, Commerce, Labour, and Education participated in the dialogue.
The discussions focused on safe, orderly, and legal mobility, strengthening India–EU migration cooperation, and enabling skill partnerships for future workforce needs
