Jammu & Kashmir DGP Nalin Prabhat has urged people not to indulge in speculation regarding the tragic explosion at Nowgam Police Station that claimed 9 lives and left 32 injured.
Calling it an accidental blast, the DGP said the incident occurred during the sampling of explosive materials recovered in a previous terror case investigation. Authorities maintain that “any other speculation into the cause of this incident is unnecessary.”
Rescue teams, police units, and medical personnel continue to work on the ground to ensure timely treatment and support for the affected families. The government is expected to release further updates after assessment of the damage and casualties.
